That's A Big Baby
Newborn baby born large enough to wear 6 month old's clothing. by Carl Hampton 09/20/2006

Marie Michel gave birth to a 14-pound, 13-ounce, 23 inch long baby boy on September 12, 2006 at William W. Backus Hospital in Connecticut. It was Michel's fifth child and this one definitely hit the record books. A typical new born weighs around 8 pounds!

Stephon Hendrix Louis-Jean (the new born) broke the hospital's record by 1 pound and 13 ounces. It had been 18 years since the last record was set at Backus Hospital. And Michel was no stranger to large children. Her eldest son weighed in at 9 pounds. Her twins weighed in at 8.5 pounds each (that's 17 pounds total)! And her youngest was 12 pounds. Stephon, less than 24 hours old, fits into clothes for a 6-month-old and was much too big for new born diapers.
